Have you seen the swipe through photo posts that have taken the social media world by storm lately? Those are called carousel’s…and Gen Z’ers can’t seem to get enough of them. 😍

Here are three great social media carousel post ideas that will help you cash in on this applicant attracting trend...keep reading! 👀

Hey everyone, it’s Tom Sye your Police Marketing FTO, and this week, we’re jumping on the social media feature ferris wheel and talking about carousel posts and how you can use them to attract applicants to your agency. 🎡

Like I said in the open, carousel posts are super-hot these days and those younger Generation Z applicants are eating them up.  Even on TikTok, where video is supposedly king, my carousel posts are easily outperforming any video I have posted in every major category to include reach and engagement.  People want to see these things. 💯

So…with that being said, let me give you three great social media carousel post ideas you can begin using immediately to boost your police recruiting by turning social media eyeballs into Police Officer applicants…

1. The Smiles All Around Carousel

If I’ve told you once, I’ve told you a million times…smiling faces will take you places, and carousel posts are no different.  Remember…smiling signals happiness and a carousel format, where people are just swiping and swiping and swiping, gives you a chance to really hammer home the idea that people are happy when they work for your agency. 😀

Load up your carousel posts with a bunch of smiling faces and watch the overall opinion of working for your agency dramatically improve! 📈

2. The Steps in Your Process Carousel

This one is a fantastic way to not only keep people checking out your posts for a longer amount of time (translation = scoring massive ‘interesting content’ points with the algorithm) but also educates your audience to a super common question of ‘what do I have to do’ that many of them will have…but don’t want to reach out and ask. 😨

You can make several carousel posts to cover this topic to include the application process, the initial testing process, and the background and hiring process.  Simply make a separate graphical type of photo for each step of the process detailing exactly what needs to be done and viola…engaging, informative content your audience wants to see. 🙌

3. The Features and Benefits Carousel

Similarly, you can continue full steam ahead on the graphical train by creating feature and benefit themed carousels that explain your pay scale, all of the benefits your agency provides its employees or even a post featuring some of the cool specialty positions that would be available for them to test for in the future.  These will get people excited about what you have to offer and can go a long way in helping them see your agency as a viable employment option.💡

Again, one graphical equals one benefit or position…string them out to anywhere from three to ten different ones per post and you’ll start seeing more interaction, more comments, and ultimately…more applications from your efforts. 👍

Give these three awesome carousel post ideas a try over the next month or two and let me know how they worked for you.  Spoiler alert: you’re gonna have great news for me! 👏
